Delete your account

In the app or on this site. Sign in, open your account page, and choose Delete my account. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

By email. If you cannot sign in, write to support@publicpoll.in from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We complete these within 30 days and reply when it is done. We may ask one question to confirm the account is yours; we will not ask for your Aadhaar number or any document.

Go to your account page if you are already signed in.

Your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, profession, and the ward, district and PIN code you entered. The last four digits of any identity reference you gave. Your notification tokens. Every active session is revoked, so you are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in again.

Questions you published and comments you posted remain readable, but they are detached from you and shown under a deleted-citizen label. Other people have already replied to and voted on that content, and removing it would silently rewrite a public record they took part in.

Your votes stay counted. A vote is stored separately from your account and carries no link back to you, so there is nothing in a vote to erase. It also means the totals other people have already read do not change after the fact.

Because a vote cannot be traced to you, it also cannot be returned to you. Deleting your account does not free up the questions you have already voted on.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent without deleting the account. Write to support@publicpoll.in. Our Privacy Policy sets out what we hold and how long we keep it.
